Putting the "I" in career. The new comprehensive Career Mode provides you the option to play solely as your created player. With this option, the entire mode is played from the player's perspective and is driven by game events that affect your created player. The game will fast forward to the next user-integrated event utilizing the fast forward feature which keeps you in the limelight from the first pitch to the last. Events will also occasionally trigger situational goals from coaches or managers coinciding with the event as you try to earn your spot on the roster.

For the first time in any baseball game, you can trust your catcher or shake him and announce yourself with authority. If you know your strengths and weaknesses better than your catcher, you could win a Cy Young. If not, you'll turn the diamond into a launching pad.
