My friend has the game guitar hero 3 for xbox 360 but he only has one guitar controller and I was wondering what buttons on the normal controller are for what colors and for strum. I know you can do it because I have seen people do it. Thanks. Related posts:

Yes, you can use the controller I've done it a lot before.
left trigger is the green button, the little rectangle button above that is the yellow button the rectangle key next to it is the red button then the right trigger is the blue and the orange button is one of the round buttons on the front i think its Y or X.
is no strum once you hit the button you hit the note. Also, you use the left joystick as the whammy bar and the down arrow in the cross below it as star power =]
