What's the best version of Harvest Moon to get? |

I have the NIntendo DS, game Cube, and Wii, but I have no idea if I should wait for the other games to come out, or buy one of the ones out. It doesn't matter if I'm a guy, I grew up playing the old pokemon games, when you *had* to be a guy. Anyway, I wanted to get one of Harvest Moon games, but is the plot the same for each game? Which game is the most fun? Other than that, I'm a cutesy kind of girl. XP Ten points goes to best answer, obviously. =p Related posts:

Well, the new Wii one does look like it's going to be good, so if you can hang on for a while, then wait for that one.
Nintendo DS is pretty bad. It's just missing a lot of the appeal that the other ones had. That, and the touch screen controls don't work all that well.
only positive is that it's hand held, so you can take it where ever you want.
is a new DS one coming out too, but I haven't heard much about that.
one on Gamecube: Magical Melody, has also been ported to Wii. If you ask me, you're better off with the Gamecube version because it's exactly the same as the Wii port, and it's cheaper.
are a few motion controls, but they're basically just tacked on and don't help much at all. In terms of plot, they all have different plots, but they're all pretty uninteresting. It mostly involves you collecting things (such as all 100 notes in the DS one), but that's a secondary priority to farming and raising a family. Don't buy Harvest Moon for the plot, but it for the other stuff.
more information, check out: Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness (DS The New one) au.gamespot.com Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (Wii New one) au.gamespot.com Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (GC/Wii) au.gamespot.com I'd get Magical Melody if you don't want to wait for Tree of Tranquility. I personally enjoyed Magical Melody a lot so I'd probably go with that if you can find a copy. It's be very cheap now anyway I'd imagine.
I helped, and have fun!
