Playstation 3 broken with lost receipt

Its still under warranty but my dumb step mom lost the receipt. I bought it at Walmart about 7 months ago, i called them to see if i could recover the receipt somehow but they said no. Anything I can do?

I had the same problem,only with gamestop.

said their computers only go back 30 days,but gave me their custormer service number.

were able to send me a duplicate receipt.

this with Walmart . Keep in mind when you send your console to Sony,you will not get the same one back.It will be a replacement with a 90 day warranty. Also,if you have no luck with getting a receipt,you can opt for Sony to fix it. It should be about $150,from what I gathered from my investigations.
