Running on the Nintendo Wii Fit? 10 Pts Best Answer! |

Just wanted to know something.. When I do my run on my Nintendo Wii Fit, I do the free run. I typically do the 20 minute run every single day, and I usually get anywhere between 4.85 miles and 5.17 miles. does that equate to actual physical running and distance? Am I ACTUALLY running 5 miles, or does the Wii Fit tend to exaggerate the distance that you run? I'm trying to lose weight, and I wanted to be as accurate as possible in determining how much exercise I'm getting and what EXACTLY I'm doing. in advance! I have a physical disability called Fibromyalgia that I try very hard not to let get the best of me. I exercise regularly to try to push through it.. however running outside would be an issue for me because if I started having issues or got into too much pain, I wouldn't be able to get myself home. for the advice, though. wanted to let you know why I don't run outside. I also have the wii fit.
running is based on the bouncing of the wii remote, either in your hand or in your pocket. If it is in your hand and you move your hand faster than you move your feet, then you will run faster and longer in the game.
mii may be running that distance that quickly, but you might not be. I'm sure you are getting a mile or so in during the time or more but your mii will definitely be logging more of the miles.
way, exercise is good. I would keep doing the wii fit running, but judge it more based on your time rather than your miles.
20 mins is great, I would work on trying to get in 25 or 30.
yoga on wii fit is also great for stretching after runs and can help increase your posture and blood flow. I usually get about 20 mins of yoga after a good run.
that helps. I keep a runner's blog if you are interested: pavementrunner.blogspot.com
