Why HALO is as good as the hype says it to be? |

When I bought my XBOX, Halo was one of the games I was dying to get my hands on over so much hype. I got through the first Halo game, I was dissapointed. the hell was this? Seriously. you bash me (certainly for insulting this game) I want you to give me an insight of WHY this game is “the king” of the other FPS games on XBOX. TimeSplitters (all of them), Doom 3, Black and Riddick (the last two didn't have multiplayer. I'm satisfied with the overall games, which have a lot of content worthwhile of playing them all over). All of these games satisfied my appetite in a big way with their content, Halo was my first and just let me wondering. saying Halo sucks (because it was entertaining, nevertheless), but is not what I expected from the game who “saved the XBOX” compared to all the ones mentioned above. I just started Halo 2 and I got already half of the game resolved (Legendary). and I got my doubts of going on (for seeing the sucky ending on ScrewAttack last night). Was I expecting TOO MUCH because of the hype or this game really lacks what the competition has even if it's balanced enough to earn awards? Related posts:

Youre right the game story does pretty much suck.
isn't anything that I found interesting at all. I believe the hype is all due to the online play or multiplayer offline play.
the only part of HALO that I found to be interesting.
stories are crap.
