  1. There are two ways to get online: 1) Have a wireless router set up which is compatibly with the Wii (or a USB Wifi dongle, like WifiMax and plug that into the PC, they're cheaper but don't work as well). Go to Wii Options and search for wireless connections and set one up following the instructions.

will let you use a wireless connection which is often slow and sometimes stops working. 2) Use a LAN adapter for the Wii Official: www.play.com Third Party: www.play.com Connect it to the Wii via one of the USB ports then insert an ethernet cable into the adapter, have the cable connected to the modem or a router. Selected a wired connection in Wii Options.

gives a faster and more stable connection and saves you setting up wireless internet on a PC, it needs a wire though. You'll have to buy something for either way, unless you already have wireless internet and can connect to that.

cheapest if you don't is buying a WifiMax or the third party adapter.

can play games online without a charge, most channels are also free but some need you to buy Wii Points and spend those.
