Hi. Have just got the xbox 360 RROD error. Have heard microsoft extended the warranty but not sure what to do.

Does anybody know of the number i should call for Microsoft to fix the problem. My standard warranty has gone but was sure i had heard MS extended it for the 3 red lights.

long do they usually take to repair and return it back to you? Alternatively does anyone know of a decent console repair service near Leicester? Don't mind paying if it means getting it back quicker.

   them up on the 0800 number above, (indians i think) so speak clearly to them lol Tell them the problem, they will then talk through a few things to double check, ie: turn the 360 on, what do you see, what colour light is showing on the power pack? Once there satisfied that its the RRoD they need the serial number on the back of the machine.

   an email address, make sure you get them to spell it out as its took me 3 attempts to get them to send the stuff to me via email ive had RRoD on my 360 for 3weeks now and its took me 3 calls to get them to sort it out.they are useless. Anyway, once they got yor email address they will send you an email within 48hrs (mine was 3hrs), it tells you wat you need to do. Basically, pack your 360, just the console so remove any hard drives controllers etc.. but dont pack it in the original box it came with.

   should send you 2 emails, one with instructions and a pdf attached whihc you need to print off and stick onto the box.

   other email is a link to UBS who will collect it. Go on there and fill in your details, (name, address, contact details, weight of the package, time of pickup etc..) they will then come and collect the 360 so just sit back for a week or 2 until its fixed, replaced.

   are in the UK, they have depots all over the country.

   Xbox 360 is to be shipped to Germany which is on the form that microsoft will send you.
