First off the PS3 and Xbox360 graphics are so close that you are not going to notice the difference. I own both and I can confirm this positively.
only difference between the two is the software titles available for each.
example, you can only get Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3, and conversely you can only get Halo 3 for Xbox360.
titles that are available for both systems, the graphics are so close that you would never be able to tell unless you freeze framed every frame and analyzed it which you are not about to do. In my opinion, avoid buying a pre-owned console. Especially because the gap in price between pre-owned and new is closing as time goes on.
just recently made the Xbox360 with 20GB hard drive available for $299.99 which is an amazing price, but if you don't want the hard drive you can go a step down to $279.99 however in my opinion you might as well go the extra $20 because just about every game requires hard drive space in order to save your progress which is basically essential if you have any hopes of playing a game for more than one day. If you compare the Microsoft refurbished console to the new one Target sells there honestly is no reason to buy refurbished.
line: BUY NEW! (See link to Target below) Good luck!
