Great at COD 4 suck at HALO 3 why?

My husband wants to know why he seems to excel at Call of Duty 4 multiplayer but cant seem to master Halo 3 multiplayer.

anyone have an opinion on a technical reason behind this?? or is it random.

COD 4 has realism Halo 3 has five guys in a room contemplating how to make the online gamer mad.

copied and pasted their halo 2 network to halo 3 with minor adjustments. COD4 had a great network which suffered lightly from lag and people who stand by, it seems to be the opposite for Halo 3.

boxes are bigger in Halo 3, Cod4 has deep impact for shooting through walls.

3 has shooting around corners, COD 4 is a better game to play since any exploits that were found was either fixed in the online beta or in patches.

3 had super jumps in the beta from where I heard it from was forgotten. No one pushed the bug report button to exploit the game, those who did were outcast and forgotten.
