Everything in my room was stolen when I got back. I called the cops and they never showed?

They said they couldn't but they will try to come tomorrow. I came home and my xbox, playstation 3 and laptop charger was taken.

guess who took it? Some faculty member from my school. I went to his office and long behold, all of my stuff was lying on the floor of his office.

I confronted him, he said I can have my stuff back. Everything was accounted for except my Playstation 3! He said he never took my PS3 and claims that “perhaps maybe someone else took it”. What do I tell the police? All of my stuff is in his office but he is denying he took my Playstation 3? How can I prove he took my playstation 3 also? This feels like one of those nightmares you can't wake up from.
