What's a good place to pick up guys in the DC area?

I'm looking for a nice guy to hang out with or even date (just dating nothing serious) and I know the social things out here are outrageous but I don't have a lot of cash and really wanna meat a guy who's into some of the things I'm into (reading, drawing, video games). Are there any kind of artsy places to sort of hang out at and meet people in the DC area?

There are a ton of free art gallery openings every month check the City Paper. Or take a good book to a coffeehouse in your favorite part of town and just hang out.if you meet someone interesting to talk to, great; otherwise, you've still had a few hours with good coffee and a good book.
