If the psp can handle in game music with the homebrew program “music.prx” plugin why does the playstation 3 re

if a psp can handle it running at 333 mhz why cant a beast like the ps3 running at 3200 mhz with 7 spe's handle in game music without special “patches” or support for it in the ps3 title?

  1. im going to assume this music.prx program is a homebrew program developed by someone other than sony, meaning it hacks the music system and overrides it? (sorry i dont have hands on experience) sony isn't going to hack the developers games and force what they want (there might be lawsuits), they want the developers to implement the new feature themselves in the game that they already created. it has nothing to do with the hardware capability, just logistics and maintaining good relationships with software companies. (which isnt such a bad idea for sony right now)
